Aldwark Manor Estate has many reasons to celebrate as golfers in Yorkshire look forward to a new season. Following a £4.5 million investment in the course and facilities, the 2024 season marks a significant milestone for the club as it coincides with the long-awaited reopening of Aldwark Toll Bridge.

To celebrate the occasion and to welcome back many players and members who have had to contend with a 25-mile detour to access Aldwark Manor Estate since the toll bridge closed for repairs last Spring, the club is offering half price membership, and a range of other re-launch offers.

The recent investment saw nine holes being redesigned to create challenging new layouts and the introduction of several new water hazards, enhancing the course’s appeal to golfers of all levels.

Drainage improvements have been made, a new putting green and bunkers added, and there are 10 more electric buggies to enable golfers to get around the stunning course.

In addition to the enhancements on the course, Aldwark Manor Estate also built ‘Bunkers’, a new purpose-built facility offering a range of amenities.

It boasts 11 bedrooms to accommodate golfing groups of various sizes, a sports bar and restaurant featuring four large screen tvs, a golf shop, private function room, outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven and BBQ, and large terrace facilities off the first tee.

The Aldwark Toll Bridge, which crosses the River Ure and connects Little Ouseburn with Aldwark, reopened on February 17th. Its closure for repairs in April last year created a 25-mile detour via Boroughbridge for those wishing to access Aldwark Manor Estate and the neighbouring village.

Not only is it great news for golfers, but it will enable guests to access much more easily the other significant new offerings planned for hotel.

A further £25 million is being spent on the estate, including the launch of Chartwell, a fine dining restaurant, this spring, and the introduction of a new spa and additional bedrooms in 2025.
